married--three grown children--one grand daughter- hubby in early retirement, I have him making birdhouses, bird feeders and benches/stools now--- I love to sew, quilt, take photos (the old fashioned way - with film and flash and telephoto lens), paint (I paint all the hubby's creations),take care of two little dogs and work part time. We built our own house (a cottage 24' x 24' with 12' x 24' useable space upstairs where my sewing room is) It is in the middle of a retired 12 acre hay field. We lived in a tent while we were building. NO CONTRACTORS-NO BUILDERS--JUST THE TWO OF US!! We have flower beds and made our own goldfish pond (about 6' x 12') and are working on a concrete and river rock patio. At one time worked in the fabric department at a Wal-mart (i.e. I have a bigger fabric library than should be allowed by law). I was raised by a pack-rat family. My mom had a huge closet full of patterns from the 40's and skirts her sis wore in high school (each was at least 3 yards) so I made almost everything I wore in high school. My friends usually check with me to see if I happen to have something they need before they make a trip to the store. Usually I have it! About the only things I watch on TV during the day are Rachel Ray and All My Children. In the evenings I watch CSI and CSI and CSI and Number3. I work as a police dispatcher in a tiny town. I love to shop thrift stores, yard sales and other such great places. If forced into a mall, I head to the sale and clearance racks!! I love all colors-with a special thing about peach. I LOVE CHOCOLATE--all kinds, all colors, all shapes and sizes--love it plain, with nuts, with cherries inside, any way. Hates are coconut and licorice. Have a place on myspace--I'm one of Swap-bot's friends. Just joined Twitter, too.
